WEEK 6

COME UP WITH A PROBLEM STATEMENT During this process, I must consider the issues that arise during this process for this project to be produced. There could be several situations where the driver must independently locate an empty parking space, which is inefficient and uses extra gasoline while the vehicle moves aimlessly around each parking space. Other than that, those who drive cars often take a long time to find a parking spot. I've come up with several problems, including the inability to find an empty parking space, the need to stay in the space for an extended time, parking in a prohibited area, and the potential inefficiency of the current green/red light indicators.

WEEK 5

WORKSHOP FYP REPORT The MS Team workshop was held in week 5, and Sir Mohamad Shaiful Osman gave the briefing. Students who attended the seminar were presented with a thorough introduction to writing theses and proposals that included three chapters: an introduction, a literature review, and a methodology. These are the chapters of the report that FYP1 students must finish. Students must understand the purpose of developing a solid technical proposal as well as the correct procedures for producing an effective introduction and literature review. The report will then be prepared and ready for review by the appropriate supervisors.

WEEK 4

GATHERING THE RESOURCES In this week, I have been told by Dr. Siti to do a research and find a journal related to the project. I need to find a total of 5 journals to be reference for my project. The purpose of finding the journal is to collect all relevant sources and give some idea to develop the project. Below are lists of journals that I found: ·         Smart Parking System using IoT ·         Smart Parking Space Detection using MATLAB and Internet of Things ·         Smart Automotive Parking System ·         PLC Based Automatic Intelligent Car Parking System ·         Image Processing Based Intelligent Parking System

WEEK 3

TITLE CONFIRMATION After further research, I give Dr. Siti a new paper with the title "Smart Car Parking Management System using MATLAB and Image Processing." The MATLAB software will be the system's primary operating system. I then went over the project's strategy and flow of operations for enhancing the parking lot management system. Additionally, I explained to Dr. Siti the overview of the system I would be developing by providing an illustration of it. Following a few conversations, Dr. Siti commented on my project proposal and approved the title I had proposed. To register my title for FYP, Dr. Siti needed my information.

WEEK 2

FYP BRIEFING A briefing on supervisor and title confirmation was held on Microsoft Team. The event, which was led by Sir Mohamad Shaiful Osman, was required attendance for all FYP students. He gave us an overview of this semester's activities, the FYP calendar S1 2022, the assessments plan, and the thesis submission procedure. All FYP students must submit the project title to register by their respective supervisors by the end of week 3.

WEEK 1

LOOKING FOR A SUPERVISOR During week 1, students in Final Year Project 1 (FYP 1) were required to find a supervisor for their project. The goal of having a supervisor is to guide, develop, and motivate students as they work on their projects. I added a list of potential lecturers from the Electronics department. I proposed Dr Siti Marwangi Bte Mohamad Maharum as my FYP supervisor. I contacted Dr Siti via WhatsApp to discuss the title of my project. 'The Development of Car Parking System using MATLAB' is the title I chose. Then I tell Dr Siti about my FYP plan. Dr Siti advised me to conduct some basic research before deciding on a title.
